Electrical Workshop Manager

Malaga, WA
C.E.M Alliance are seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to work with a well-established Electrical provider within the mining & resources sector. This is a Permanent positions based north of the river. 
The successful person will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage multiple projects well at the one time.  They will have a strong ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, statutory requirements and maintenance concepts with a sound understanding of balancing staff resources to complete projects on time.

Duties will include though not be limited too;
  • Plan and Schedule the day to day activities for the electrical manufacturing team
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of the workshop team while seeking improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work, maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with requirements
  • Oversee documentation, job management, and the development of work scopes, quotes and reports in line with customer needs
  • Manager procurement and parts inventory to meet both scheduled and unscheduled job demands
  • Provide technical guidance to tradespeople and support for on the job training, toolbox talks and meetings
  • Manage resource requirements and lead the team to meet project deliverables, both locally and for FIFO projects
  • Materials planning/management to ensure optimum workshop efficiencies
 
Requirements for the role
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Background in Electrical highly advantageous
  • Ability to read schematics
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Current Drivers Licence
